Russell Jaffe’s background in counselling, group work, Family Court mediation and family work form an excellent basis for his engagement with a range of stakeholders and his ability to effectively negotiate change. He has developed considerable facilitation skills and has a particular interest in the area of quality improvement, organisational structures, and bringing together key stakeholders for a common purpose. Russell worked as a management consultant in New Zealand (with extensive experience working with the Maori community) for seven years before arriving to Melbourne in 1992.
In recent years Russell has worked extensively with local community organisations on quality improvement, strategic planning, organisational structuring and policy, program evaluation, and service development projects. He has also assisted in developing a number of partnership agreements, often aligned to a strategic planning process.
In addition, Russell has been volunteering through Indigenous Community Volunteers, and has worked on organisational and service development projects with communities in the Kimberley region and Cape York, and a current project with the Mornington Peninsula Aboriginal community.
Russell is a qualified Social Worker with a Master of Arts in Sociology and Social Work and a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Work.
