Our Experience : VICSERV - Workforce Development in Community Mental Health Services Literature Review
VICSERV - Workforce Development in Community Mental Health Services Literature Review 2009
A literature review on workforce development was undertaken as part of the Building Capacity in Community Mental Health Family Support and Carer Respite Project which was a National Respite Development Program initiative funded by the Commonwealth as part of the Council of Australian Government’s National Action Plan on Mental Health. The literature review was a starting point for examining the use of terminology in order to establish common understandings across the jurisdictions; and an opportunity to explore workforce models and strategies in Australia and overseas that may be applicable and relevant to the community mental health sector, and which could inform future workforce development across the Australian jurisdictions. Conclusions and recommendations were developed based on the findings of the desk research.
